My name is Elaine I am Nana. My husbands name is Buddy he is Papa.We are both Christians. We love our Lord.
We have been married almost 30 years now. I can honestly say its been the best 30 years of my life.
Papa is my world, I can't think of life without him. Now don't get me wrong we have had our share of problems, but we have always worked things out and in the end we stuck together like glue.
We have raised 5 girls and one boy. We have 11 grandchildren. Two of them live in heaven.
I have two brothers, My husband has five brothers and one sister. I can't even count the nieces and nephews we have.
My husbands parents passed away years ago, my dad passed away in 2005. My mother is still living.
We love God, love each other, our family and we enjoy good friends.
Our Home is our nest. It is were our flock gathers. We came by the name Nana and Papa when my grandparents died. That is what we called them. I wanted our home to be like theirs where everyone gathers. It is just that. That sounded like a good name for this blog. I hope many of you gather here, take a seat and stay awhile.

- The nest is our home. We moved from the city to the country 8 years ago when our grandson was born. My daughter and grandson ,my husband and I all live together. Its a wonderful relationship and arrangement. My daughter and Husband work outside the home. I stay home and homeschool our grandson. We live in the woods in a double wide. People think we are nuts moving from a brick home with a in ground swimming pool to a double wide in the woods. Our home is big 2400 sq feet 3 acres of land, woods all around. We live on a dirt road. We can have gardens, animals. Enjoying the wild animals we see are just lovely. Deer, foxes, racoons, snakes, , chipmunks things you don't see in the city. Its so quiet out here, we listen to the frogs and crickets at night. We all love it here. We have a pool , so in the summer time the flock swarms in for refreshing swims. In the winter we all gather by the fire place to keep warm with coffee and hot coco. Come join us for some good conversation, some fun and a cup of what ever warms you , coco, coffee, hot cider.
